In March 2023, Liverpool defeated their old rival Manchester United 7-0 in the Premier League, setting the largest point difference in the history of the two teams. Gakpo, Nunez and Salah each scored two goals for the Red Army, and Firmino sealed the final score in front of the Kop stands.

To commemorate this historic moment, Japanese cartoonist Tsujitomo created a special comic work. Tsuji, best known for his work on the GIANT KILLING series, personally visited Merseyside and Anfield to research and prepare for this piece.

He was inspired by "the way Liverpool Football Club integrates players, staff, fans and the stadium", calling this passion and unity "a powerful source of creative energy". The LFC-themed artwork will be released to the public ahead of Sunday's rematch between Liverpool and Manchester United.

"Both comics and football can add color and make your life more vivid," says Tsuji.

His illustrations combine images of seven celebrations from Liverpool's historic match against the backdrop of a jubilant Anfield stadium. Fans will soon be able to see this unique work up close at the upcoming new Kodansha Corner II at Anfield Stadium.
