Villa officially confirmed that in accordance with the instructions of the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), away fans will not be allowed to enter the Europa League match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on November 6.

The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) is responsible for issuing safety certificates for every match at Villa Park based on a number of physical and safety factors. Following a meeting on Thursday afternoon, SAG formally wrote to the club and UEFA recommending that visiting fans not be allowed into Villa Park to watch the game. West Midlands Police told SAG they had concerns about public safety outside the stadium and the ability to handle protests that may take place that night.

Throughout the entire process, Villa has maintained ongoing dialogue with Maccabi Tel Aviv and the local government, always putting the safety of fans in attendance and the safety of local residents first.
