According to The Athletic, Felix and Chilville have returned to Chelsea Cobham Base to register for training this week.

Several sources revealed that the number of people appearing at the club's training base on Monday was as many as double-digits. Most of these players were rented out last season and are expected to join the new club before the transfer window closes on September 1.

This includes Felix, who Chelsea signed him from Atletico Madrid for £44.5 million in August but loaned him to AC Milan in January this year.

Cylville (Crystal Palace), Ugo Chuku (Southampton), Petrovic (Strasbourg), Renato Vega (Juventus), Bloa (Everton), Di Sasi (Villa) and Alfie Gilchrist (Sheffield United) also returned on loan to participate in training. U21 midfielders Leo Castledaine (Shrewsbury) and Alex Matos (Oxford United) are also involved.

Rahim Sterling has not returned to the team, but this is expected. He was loaned to Arsenal in the 2024-25 season.

Standard physical examinations and physical fitness tests were conducted on Monday, which were always conducted on the first day of pre-season training to check the physical condition of the players. The first full training was conducted Tuesday, supervised by loan technical coach Ed Brand, and all first-team coaching staff members competed in the FFC World Cup in the United States. The club also plans to arrange a closed-door friendly match for these players who return to practice.

Chelsea hopes to raise funds by selling these players, and has shown strong interest in most of them, many clubs.

Most of the first-team players included in the 2025-26 season plan are currently in the United States. The club has advanced to the Club World Cup final after defeating Fruminense 2-0 on Tuesday.
