Since Mbemo expressed his hope to join Manchester United this summer, Brentford and the Red Devils' negotiations around the players have lasted for more than a month. According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United quoted Mbemo to Brentford for the third time, hoping to make a breakthrough in the transfer negotiations.
In this latest offer, Manchester United proposed a plan of £65 million in basic fees plus £5 million additional terms in order to make progress. Manchester United is confident that this offer will be accepted by Brentford. In previous negotiations, Brentford insisted on asking Mbemo for a higher transfer price.
The initial offer from Manchester United for Mbemo was 55 million pounds, but Brentford refused. The second offer of more than 60 million pounds was still rejected.
Mbemo's contract with Brentford is about to enter its final year, but the Bees have the option to activate a one-year renewal, which adds bargaining power to negotiate players' transfers.
